Joy
Here we know pain.
We are intimately entwined with chaos.
And yet there's joy.
How?
Because there is no place that God doesn't know. No heart that he didn't trace before time began. There is no life so far removed from his truth that grace is void.
Joy is born in the presence of God.
And know without a doubt…God is here.
Joy is more than happiness in work clothes. Joy is a contentment that knows love. Happiness is a feeling. Joy is a dance. Happiness is knowing your legs work. Joy is realizing, despite lameness, that you have wings. Joy is that sweet prelude to eternity. Just a taste of what's to come. Joy is a confidence that it will arrive at just the right time.
Joy is knowing - heart, mind and soul -
that the Redeemer has come.
Nehemiah 8:10
"…for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
