God looked down upon all He has made and He saw that it was good. But God in His matchless mercy and grace saw one more thing...that things were just about to get better. God knew that Adam would grow lonely. He said, "Man is not meant to be alone." So he created a partner, a friend, a family...a community. The heart that beats inside us must connect to all else in our bodies or it will cease to make rhythm. So too the heart that keeps our soul alive. It must connect. We must reach out and not resist when someone reaches in. God made us to know and be known. (Genesis 2:19-25) |
