God protects Sarai, when her husband didn't. And so begins another story of God protecting the least of these. In the Gospels He raises women up in the society that devalued them. He gathered the children and honored them in a world that regarded them as chattel. He could have had kings and nobles...but He handpicked grubby fisherman and a tax-collector. Theirs is the Kingdom.
