"The Sun and the Moon"
© Amy Beth Augustin Barlow 2004
The moon has always brought me great comfort. One night, many years ago, I was sitting outside on the front stoop weighing all my pain and fears. As my mind rocked and reeled I found myself staring at the moon. At that moment the whole world stopped for me. I saw that moon, that big chunk of rock just hanging in the sky...and I figured that if God could hurl that stone into space, set it in orbit and keep it spinning - surely He could hold me. (Genesis 1:14-19)
