West Side Ministries' (WSM) intent and primary hope is to bring at-risk urban children and their families into a healing relationship with Jesus Christ and help them continue in their spiritual growth as we minister to the whole person. The Third Story, through West Side Ministries, desires to be a refuge and sanctuary by offering hope and help to the optionless, weary and hurting. Our small local ministry is equipped to assist at-risk kids by helping to meet their needs spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally and physically.

Our programs include Street Church (the heart of our ministry, a mentor/discipleship based after-school Bible Club), Whiz Kids Tutoring, The EDGGe (mentoring and service learning for middle/high school youth) and Summer JAM. We also have a year-round hot meal program: Hot Meals for Hope.

We are committed to building strong, consistent and caring relationships between volunteers and neighborhood youth. Our hope is to live, act, teach and train in the Spirit of Christ. Please click on the blue links above and below to find out about each seperate ministry.
