"Street Church" is a neighborhood outreach based on the needs of Denver's at-risk youth. This weekly after-school club focuses on K-6th but we have kids as young as 3 and also open our doors to both middle and high-schoolers. Street Church begins with a homemade hot meal for the kids and continues with active Bible learning, memory verses, games, crafts and group building. We also enjoy time with the kids in small group Bible Study and our end of the night "Prayer Circle".

Street Church begins at 4:00 sharp with prayer and a staff meeting. At 4:30 we split up to pick up the kids, prepare dinner and do our last minute prep. As kids arrive we spend some time "hanging out" and then we have dinner together before we begin our activities. Club lasts from 5:00-6:30. We spend the last half hour until 7:00 taking kids home and cleaning up.

We offer two different sessions of "Street Church":
Wednesday Street Church: 4:00-7:00 or
Thursday Street Church: 4:00-7:00
Weekly Commitment: 3 hours
Yearly Commitment: 27 weeks (including 2 training sessions and one mid- year briefing)
Ministry hours: 75 hours (for CCU students)

All student team members from Colorado Christian University will meet at a decided location on campus at 3:40 to carpool down to the neighborhood. All other volunteers drive directly to the First Avenue Presbyterian Church - 120 W. 1st Avenue, Denver CO 80223 (map).
